Green Schoolyards America is a fiscally sponsored project of Earth Island Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1982 by legendary environmentalist David Brower organization. This means that we operate under Earth Island’s EIN number, they process any grants or donations to our organization, provide financial oversight, administrative, technical, and legal support, and access to a peer network of more than 75 world-changing projects like ours.
